This is the part of the long-line that will take the weight as you pull up from the seabed.

There are some sellers on eBay selling long-lines with just a loop on each end of the long line this will be the weak part of it.

The Hook Snoods are made from

1.1mm braid-nylon rope/line 100lbs

with a Swivel-n-Hook Snap Back-Spliced on one end and the Hook is Back-Spliced for easy changing.

The Hook Snoods have a Swivel-n-Hook Snap to stop twisting of the hook snood

when you have a fish hooked on, unlike tied on hook snoods

they will just snap with the loss of your fish and hook snood.
